  Do Any of you JWs watch anime?

  if so, what is your favorite one?.

  one of my friends said she couldn't watch anime because of where it was orginated and it was a tradition, if that were true, then everyone in japan would be drawing anime of "tradition" like what the heck?

  since when did drawing ever became a tradition?

  As a younger person who disliked the witness when I was supposed to be one, I really liked Cyber City OEDO 808, now I like Vexille and want to see Evangelion!

  IF we erased all history... WHAT "truth" would emerge in time?

  i posit that if we put mankind into a state of suspended animation, erased his memory, and removed all traces of recorded human thinking over the ages, that given a few thousand years after his wake-up science and it's principles would have been rediscovered, reaffirmed.

  all the sound principles would be once again discovered and leveraged into powerful technologies along lines similar to those we see today.

  in other words, gravity, thermodynamics, astromony, magnetism, and physics of the universe would eventually be considered 'true', and verifible.

  Hi, Ak jeff,

  What a great topic, forget the myths of the past start a new glorious dawn for mankind, scientific ideals stand tall, no religion, some ignorant people may try to bring back fear as a common currenecy, these would easily be defeated by mankinds thrust into new research for man's ills no more fundamentalist's hindering stem cell research it would truely bring on the golden age of man.

  By the way, when did you say it would begin, lol!

  Hi,

  I think that fundamentalist christrians are great and warm and fuzzy in their knowledge of God, however they are extremly naive in the view of reality, the Creator could have sorted this mess out a long time ago without all the suffering that the human family has been exposed to, without all this crap happening!

  It's a shame that an all knowing, all caring father would do this to his children!!!!!

  Hi,

  With the Deist form of thought, mankind is the ultimate form of salvation by his own intect and force of reason this is why I like Thomas Paine and the age of Reason and also Ayn Rand although I don't follow her atheism YET!, man's intellectual capacity and reason will win through eventually, imagine if the whole world in this system, lol!, was controlled by the witnesses no one would be trained as doctors or scientists and man's lifespan would be in the 30's or less due to preventable illnesses, I know mankind get's a lot of things incorrect, but without God who let's realise is a no show.

  Surely even the witnesses must realise that their lifespans has been increased to see the failure of their end of the world scenario, and as some others have said who would be educated enough to on their blood commitees and lawyer disputes with authorities if no one went to college!

  i should have shared it when i first received it from our lord.. there is nothing to fear if you are not riding out to make war against someone.

  The whole Biblical ideas of redemption to some unknown entity seem to be irrelevent now, I used to be afraid of the unknown, now I'm just scared of not achieving any kind of lasting legacy, thankfully I've got three lovely kids who may understand some of the secrets of everything, unfortunately Christianity and all religions for me, just seem to be about power and control, sorry tec, but you seem to be a lovely supportive person but your ideas of the Bible seem to me to be wishing at the best.

  Hi Still thinking,

  Absolutely, I am still searching, I like the idea of Deism, however as some have said to me before that this form of belief eventually ends up in Atheism, which at the moment I am not prepared to go, it may go there due to the prevelance of evil in this world, the panspermia idea of life arriving at this earth from other planets seem to be where I am prepared to be happy just now!

  Hi,

  I am not yet an Atheist, however the question of evil is most perplexing, if an alknowing, all loving creator who want's the best for his creation allows bad things to happen without providing an easy to answer, none test format to choose his leadership, then I see creation, I see Panspermia far more likely, I look forward to Prometheus the new Ridley Scott movie which includes information from ancient Sumer and the Erich Von Daniken theory, let's realise that it can't be anymore fanciful than the Biblical accounts, can it.

  This way, the Deist method only relys on you do your best, not having to do the will of a hundred year old religion that hate humity and its science!

  They are truly horrible people in the governing body of Jehovahs witnesses, clueless and spiteful!
